i'm like having second thoughts on whether i should blog about this.
it wouldnt be a surprise anymore to naz and sakinah because they knew about it already.
while on the train, we had a lil discussions but i kept my ideas and opinions to myself.
i told naz and sakinah that i'm gonna save it for my blog because if not i wouldnt have anything to blog about.
then 'plonnnkkk'!!!! they suddenly could read my thoughts and said exactly what was on my mind.
gerammmm sekaliii......korang ni spoilll lah. lain kali buat tak tau ah.
hahaha.
anyhow (i've been substituting 'anyway' with 'anyhow' because apparently nam and kianwai said that 'anyhow' is actually the correct word to use and i assume they should be correct because nam is an arts and social science undergrad and kianwai is a walking dictionary)
ok and anyhow, back to my lil discussions with naz and sakinah, we were talking about giving up our seats on the train or bus to seomeone who needs it more than we do (eg: pregnant woman, disabled person, old people etc)
and I really have a problem with that.
its either i dont sit at all or dont give up my seat and be oblivious to the situation.
i'm always contemplating whether to give up or not.
not that i'm cruel or what lah. just that, if u see somebody who's pregnant then u give up your seat to her then it turns out she's not pregnant just that she has big fat belly then she would really feel so paisey and insulted right?
there was one time an old man board the train and stood in front of me. at that point of time all the seats were taken and nobody even cared to give up their seats to the poor old man. so i decided to be kind and give up my seat willingly and sincerely to the old man.
and what did i get in return? a smugging face from the poor old man. its like his face was telling me that i'm looking down on him thinking that he's old and weak when he thinks he's not. and he didnt seat. stupid old man. just sit lah. being old also care about ego.
untill now, i just hope that when i get to sit in the train or bus, there would be no pregnant woman or old people unless the woman is like obviously pregnant without any doubt and the old people looks totally weak and desperate for a seat instead of snobbish old people who's not grateful enough when we give up our seat.
sigh...ironically,chasing pavements appear to be easier than giving up.
